A three-phase buck-boost AC Regulator was proposed, which is controlled by two phases. The circuit characteristic is analyzed by the simulation considering the dissipation and charging of semiconductor devices and inductors. Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) and ripple of an input current and an output voltage increase when an inductive component increases in the load. Variation appears at the phases of buck-boost ratio. Due to the inductive components in the load the resonance frequency has been changed. THD in the output voltage is improved when the capacitance in the output filter is changed to adjust the resonance frequency of the output circuit. The experimental results presented in the paper evidence both the improvement of power factor and also shows the FFT analysis with good accuracy and robustness in a particular duty ratio and THD, thus validating the proposed approach. Finally the paper outlines associated with the development of buck-boost ratio according to the load power factor variation.
