Ethno-Medicinal Plants Used in Venereal and Gynaecological Disorders in Dumka, Jharkhand

In recent years Ethno-botany has gained world wide interest with an aim to search new drugs and other economically important plants. The tribals and Villagers of Dumka district use different parts of plant species for curing of venereal and gynaecological disorders. The present paper deals with the traditional knowledge of useful medicinal plants that are used in venereal and gynaecological disorders by the - Tribal people and villagers of Dumka district.

The present work is a survey, carried through self signed questionnaires in consultations with the tribal practitioners, Jann Guru, Pradhan, Vaidya, hakeem and villagers etc. This paper deals with 35 (thirty five) plants species used in gynaecological and venereal disorders.

Abstract
