Male Wistar rats of Group C, P and PT received stock diet, stock diet+fish roe (5g/day), stock diet+fish roe (5g/day)+Centella asiatica (150mg/kg) paste respectively. In PT group, serum uric acid decreased as compared to P, and it was comparable to C group. The herb also showed positive effect on liver function tests.
