Arsenic is a natural constituent of the earth's crust usually geologically bound in sediments and rocks including elemental arsenic, arsenides, sulphides, oxides, arsenates and arsenites. Dissolved in water either inorganic arsenic occurs as arsenite (As III) or as arsenate (As V) and the most common mineral in which arsenic exists is Arsenopyrite (FeAsS). This paper is concerned with the concentration of arsenic in different geomorphological situation in Bengal deltaic environment.
