India is acknowledged for the contribution to the field of mathematical science by the whole world. Indian mathematicians first gave the idea of zero, introduced the notion of π approximation. This article sketches mathematical development from Indus Valley period to Kerala School of Mathematics. One should inspire the young students for mathematical research by different writings of ancient mathematics. Young generations should be encouraged to absorb the outstanding works of Aryabhatta, Brahmagupta, Bhaskaracharya, Madhavacharya and many more. So, old manuscripts in simple languages need be handed out to them for their convenience.
