Automation

Automation is transfer of skill from man to machine. Automation is the culmination of progress in mechanisation, though automation, mechanisation, cybernatics, robot, technological change, productivity are often confused as synonymous. While mechanisation is substitution of machine operation for manual operation, automation involves replacement of human operation by automatic control device. Cybernation is the application of computer as a decision-making device to control an automatic process. Productivity is the efficiency in production.
