During the first 5 year Plan the total outlay of Rs. 293.0 crores were made both in Public as well as private sections for the expansion of industries in India. The estimated outlay was Rs. 327.0 crores. The industry wise break-up of the total outlay is given in table 1 Columns 2 and 3.
