Evaluation of Burnout as an Impediment to Academic Organizations in Punjab

The aim of the study was to assess the impact of burnout on individuals and the organisation among 30-50 year old employees of a leading educational institute in Punjab,India. Burnout not only produces deleterious effects on the business but also affects the general well being of an individual in terms of physical, social and mental health.In a cross-sectional study, a total of 100 people of age group of 35-50 years were surveyed using a structured disguised questionnaire. Descriptive statistics using frequency distribution mean percentage scores were calculated. Sample size can be considered as a limitation to the study.
