On some Properties of the Zeta Function

This paper is based on the ' Memoire sur les Polynomes de Bernoulli' by Norlund which appsared in the Acta Mathematica, Vol 43, (1922), pp. 121-196. Norlund has defined Bernoulli's function By (x) to be the solution of the finite difference equation fy (x + 1) -fy (x) = yzy-I for positive integral values of y.
