





A Study to Assess the Knowledge Regarding Food Adulteration among Home Makers Regarding Food Safety Standards in Selected Rural Community

The present study focuses on the awareness of the rural homemakers regarding food adulteration and its detection. The finding of the study revealed that 50% (15) of the home makers had poor knowledge regarding food adulteration there was significant association of knowledge level with selected socio demographic variables i.e. education and occupation. The study concludes that a better informed public supported by effective health information would help people to make better food choices and prevent food borne illness.
