Assessment of the Knowledge and Attitude Regarding Adjustment Problems among Nursing Students

Back ground: In the present study data were collected on adjustment problem among 3<sup>rd</sup> year B.Sc nursing students in selected colleges at Tumkur. Each student to grow at its own pace to develop emotional stability through satisfaction relationship and maintain personal and social adjustment. Method: The research design used in the present study was descriptive research design. The study was conducted in nursing colleges at Tumkur. The simple sampling technique was used to select the samples. A self administered questionnaire and attitude scale was used to assess the knowledge and attitude regarding adjustment problems among nursing students. The tool used for collection of data was self administered questionnaire which consist of socio demographical variables, self administered knowledge questioners and attitude scale. Findings: The findings revealed that the analysis and interpretation of data using descriptive and inferential statistics. Coefficient of correlation was used to ascertain relationship between the knowledge and attitude, chi square were calculated to find out the association between the personal variables with knowledge and attitude, there was significant association in attitude with variables like age and gender, and not significant with other variables.
