Bandwidth management is the process of measuring and controlling the communications (traffic, packets) on a network link, to avoid filling the link to capacity or overfilling the link, which would result in network congestion and poor performance. Riverbed Technology is a designer and manufacturer of WAN optimization and network traffic measurement products.Riverbed Technology's world headquarters is located in San Francisco, California. Riverbed was founded in 2002 by Jerry Kennelly and Dr. Steve McCanne.
