A Survey in Direct Torque Control Induction Motor Drive
Subscribe/Renew Journal
Direct Torque Control (DTC) of induction motor is preferred control strategy recently, due to its quick torque response, simplicity, less sensitivity against motor parameter variation. In this project, a detailed comparison between SMC, Fuzzy Sliding Mode (FSM) speed controllers and a Genetic Algorithm (GA) optimized PI controller in terms of robustness, disturbance rejection capability and sensitivity to stator resistance variation will be analyzed. The comparison is carried out based on assigning a performance index in terms of speed error to provide a numerical comparison of their performance when applied to a DTC Induction motor Drive. in this proposed work, the performance of two controllers are investigated and compared for different dynamic operating conditions such as of reference speed and for load torque step changes at nominal parameters and in the presence of parameter variation. The validity of the proposed work will be simulating using MATLAB.
