Ancient Indians contributed richly in Astronomy, Mathematics, Chemical and Physical Sciences, Traditional Medicine, Philosophy and Linguistics. The tradition is still on. Algebra, decimal number system, recognition of atomic nature of matter, and an ancient frame work for chemical studies are of Indian origin. However, the chronology of Indian events needs a major revision. Some future developments are also predicted.
