Among all natural calamities that threaten human life and society, earth­ quakes are one o f the main causes of concern. Although earthquakes had been completely unpredictable till recently, now it has been pos­ sible to ‘look out’ for approaching earthquakes, at least to some extent. The present paper tries to outline a few of such precursory signals.
