Methods: The research design selected for the present study was pre experimental design, where one group pretest posttest design was adopted. The present study was conducted in Dhanvantri Critical Care Centre at Erode. The total sample size was 50 suicide patients. The investigator selected the subjects by adopting purposive sampling technique. The background variables and clinical variables were assessed. The level ofsuicidal ideation was assessed by using suicidal ideation questionnaire. REBT sessions were conducted for the period of 4 weeks. Face to face sessions and subsequent follow up sessions were conducted. Posttest was conducted by using the same assessment tool. Results: The study findings revealed that administration of REBT were highly significant in the reduction of suicidal ideation among attempted suicide patients.
