Status of Engineers

There is no hard and fast definition for an engineer as in the medical profession or in the legal profession- It is seen from the census report that the Government accepts any one who would fill up the individual slip for census, stating that he is an engineer and the number of such engineers in the country is much more than the degree holders. The Government is astonishingly indifferent about the status of engineers in the country.
