On Resistance Butt-Welded Steel Specimen
Subscribe/Renew Journal
Resistance Welding produces welds with a coarse grain structure which is regarded by some as a potential weakness from the brittle fracture viewpoint. Refinement of this structure is produced by normalising. Heat-treatment is an attractive proposition for both stress relieving and the improvement of the metallurgical condition in the HAZ of the weld.
