It is imperative to say that the elderly cannot cope up with the latest technological trends and their health issues add up to the fact that the so-called ‘Highly featured compact smartphone’ will simply not work for them. They need some basic necessities through the phone viz. the ability to clearly communicate with their loved ones, handle simple text messages, and keep themselves updated about the whereabouts of the world through some audio-visuals. They need a phone that is customized for their use to fulfill their needs. Although there are a lot of senior citizen-friendly models already available in the market, it somewhat feels like all the necessary features are not yet integrated into one and the different models cater to different needs of them. The present treatise attempted to highlight this fact and try to propose a suitable solution to the problem along with the addition of any feature that might be extremely necessary for the context of the needs of senior citizens or geriatric people.
