Prioritising Infrastructure Development on the Basis of its Impact on Income:A District-Level Study of Maharashtra

The broad objective of the paper is to provide empirical evidence about the impact of important infrastructure variables on the level of development in a district. Comparable information for the items of infrastructure for the districts in Maharashtra is computed from their absolute figures with the help of corresponding vital statistics, like population, geographical area, and number of villages.
