Micellar Catalyses in the Acidic Hydrolysis of Benzohydroxamic Acid
Subscribe/Renew Journal
The acid catalysed hydrolysis of benzohydroxamic acid (C6H5CONHOH) has been studied in the presence of various cationic, anionic and non-ionic surfactants. All the surfactants inhibit the hydrolysis reaction. Micille-substrate binding constants have been calculated by analysing the data using pseudo-phase and Piszkiewicz models. Activation parameters and salt effects on the reactive process have been also determined.
