The "Dr. T.K. Saksena Memorial Award for Distinguished Research" has been instituted by the Ultrasonics Society of India, to recognize young researchers, who have made distinctive research contribution in the field of ultrasonics and allied areas. The award is initiated and sponsored by Dr. Skand Saksena, son of late Dr. Tribhuwan Kumar Saksena (01.11.1934-23.12.2008), whose pioneer contributions in the field of ultrasonics are milestones.
