Equality means giving equal rights, making equal rules, giving equal punishments irrespective of the gender of an individual. Let's make it a better place to live rather than playing discrimination politics. The latent and patent gender biases operating in the conceptualization, formulation and operation of criminal law. In its present form it excludes perspectives, interests and experiences of woman to a large extent by maintaining the private-public dichotomy and incorporation of patriarchal values. It also reinforces the typical stereotypical image of woman as weak and in need of protection. Women will get their rights only when we will stop thinking them as under privileged.
