The paper deals with the nomenclature of taxa commonly trealed under the geuera Agropyron Gaertn, Aristida Linn, Brachypodium P. Beauv., Bromus Linn., Cymbopogon Spreng., Dactyloctenium Wild., Digitaria Helot., Lophochloa Reichb., Nardurus Reichb., Oryza Linn., Paspalum Linn., Phragmites Trin, Polypogon Desf. and Stipa Linn. Changes in the names of species have necessitated combinations In 6 Infra-specific taxa, namely, Digitaria cillaris subsp. marginata (Link) comb. nov.; D. ciliaris suhop. marginata var. fimbriala (Link) comb. nov.; D. ciliaris subsp. marginata var. pes-avis (Buse) comb. nov.;D. ciliarls subsp. marginata var. serilcea (Honda) comb. nov.; D: ciliarls subsp. nubica (Stapf) comb. Nov. and Phragmites australis var. stenophylla (Boissier) comb. nov.
