Organizational culture is the moral, social, and behavioural norms of an organization. It creates impacts on the beliefs, attitudes, and priorities of organizational members. It is something holistic, historically determined, socially constructed, soft, and difficult to change. It is something an organization has, but can also be seen as something an organization is. The prevailing culture of an organization, its customs and traditions and in general the day to day happenings are based on the original source of its founder/s and reflect the vision and mission of the institution. The study is based on a survey of academic libraries to know the perception and nature of organizational culture prevailing in these libraries. Study can be used to know the organizations more intimately and for better management.
